Every self-respecting watch brand out there has a salmon-colored dial in its collection these days.The strap and link buckle for this watch are a bit unusual. When you first pick the watch up, you'll notice that there are no holes at all on either side of the strap. You've got two identical pieces of rich blue alligator, each of which has a semi-matte finish and comes to a point at the end. Accompanying the watch is a steel folding buckle in the shape of the familiar Cartier logo. I legitimately had to ask one of my colleagues (shout out Cara!) how the heck to get this on my wrist.To me, Hodinkee becoming a part of the Watches of Switzerland Group will allow us to be the best version of Hodinkee possible – and with them being a partner to, well, pretty much everyone in the entire industry – we can't wait for the future. Breguet has produced the Classique Phase de Lune 7787 since 2011, but it traces its roots to a pocket watch from the 18th century. As link with the 5177, before today, you could choose between gold alloys and guilloche or enameled dials. Again, it is the combination of platinum and black enamel that is new here.The HyperChrome Automatic Chronograph Match Point is limited to 999 pieces, and is priced at $4,800. Of course, it faces some pretty stiff competition from other chronographs at that price point, not to mention coming up against smart watches, which have conquered the wrists of many athletes, including the tennis player coaching Rado's guests. But when it comes to mechanical timepieces, this is a truly credible sports watch.The only accurate weather report that Wings of Hope pilots have access to while flight planning in the Ecuadorian Amazon is a single person on the ground, at the landing strip, deep in the jungle operating a radio. The technique is to look up at the sky, at the conditions of the runway (to make sure it's not too muddy), and make the call if the strip is operational that day. There is no radar.</br>
